This weekend it’s time for the annual Pumpkin Race Festival which celebrates its’ 20th Birthday! Get your pumpkins, grab your friends and be a part of this celebration. Once again, the whole Manhattan Beach Pier area will be transformed into Pumpkinrace Land, filled with colorful costumes, creativity and lots of activities for all ages.
If you want to be a part of the race, the single elimination Open Qualifying will take place between 1:00pm-4:00pm, and will give u chance to race in the Championship Finals beginning at 4:00pm. If you don’t feel like racing, it is always fun to watch the racers trying to make it to the finish line in their own unique styles with their pumpkins. The highlight of the Pumpkin Race is a unique side-by-side single elimination race featuring handcrafted, decorated Pumpkin RaceCars in a funky, hilarious, suspenseful, and dramatic display of American ingenuity. There will also be a children’s costume parade from 3 to 4 p.m. Right after the finals you can enjoy a sunset concert and all the award ceremonies.
The fun-spirited event is an award-winning community tradition that brings families and friends together for a celebration of creativity, ingenuity, teamwork, and respect for fair play. So why not be a part of it?
